Northern Italian Cuisine

The Ottoborgo family is excited to bring recipes from the high country in Italy to the high country of Colorado. We build the foundation of our food on the recipes of the Friuli region in Italy from which the Ottoborgo family originates. A northern region of Italy known for their incorporation of rich cream sauces, and cheeses. We also sample from various regions of Italy, giving you a well round and delectable experience every time you join us for dinner.  

Our Family History in Dillon and before

Grandpa Alex came over to America at the age of 18 from a small Italian town in northern Italy. He studied stone masonry but always had the dream to open a restaurant. In 1979 his dream came true, Berthoud Falls was opened. 

Adriano's Bistro Our Family History

After 8 successful years in Berthoud Falls, Grandpa Alex and Ivano then opened Risturante Al Lago in 1987. In 2000 they were unable to continue running the restaurant when Grandpa Alex fell ill. In 2010, Chef Ivano, Sous chef Adriano along with Momma Gina, Danilo and Chantelle reopened the restaurant as Adriano’s Bistro and we are now serving generational recipes as well as our new creations such as our traditional wood fired pizzas.

We are proud to bring you the biggest deck in the high country! Perfect for full ceremony weddings, class reunions and large parties.
